What's TAKUMA?

Information contained herein is provided to help you deepen your understanding of Takuma.

Serving the next 50 years of customers. Creating the next 100 years of society.

Takuma pursues its plant engineering business in the field of environment and energy under the concept of “Serving the next 50 years of customers. Creating the next 100 years of society.” for sustainable value delivery.

Our Business

We continuously support customers’ business and social infrastructure through plant engineering and ongoing after-sales services in the environmental and energy field.

As a leading company in the environmental and energy field, Takuma is engaged in engineering and after-sales service in Japan and overseas in plants such as waste treatment facilities and biomass power plants. We continuously support customers’ business and indispensable social infrastructure in projects that can span over five to 10 years, from concept planning to designing and construction of plants, and through after-sales services related to plant operation over the subsequent 20 to 30 years.

Contribution to Society

We are aiming for sustainability, be it the environment, our organization, or our business model.

Being sustainable is not just about the environment, it also applies to the organization. With a strong awareness of living together with society and local communities, we will address ESG and SDG issues to contribute to society through our business activities, and aim to maintain our role of being an indispensable presence in society in every era.

Performance

Stable sales and ordinary profits are secured over the long term.

True to the concept of “Serving the next 50 years of customers. Creating the next 100 years of society.”, Takuma's business started in 1912 with the invention of the Takuma boiler by founder Tsunekichi Takuma, and for over 100 years since then, we have been delivering goods and services that are indispensable to society. After large swings in our business performance until the 2000s, we have been focusing on after-sales services including maintenance and operation management in order to develop a more stable business. Through these initiatives, we have long been involved in the local communities where our plants are located through concept planning, design and construction of plants, and after-sales services. We grow together with customers in the various communities where we operate, whether in Japan or overseas, and the people living there.

Our Strengths

As a leading company in the environmental and energy field, we have earned a high reputation from customers.

We have a track record as a leading company in the environmental and energy field, such as the No. 1 position in Japan in terms of the number of waste treatment facilities delivered and achieving a reduction in CO2 emissions through waste treatment facilities and biomass power plants.
