The environment surrounding waste treatment facilities is changing, with a declining workforce and technological innovation through AI and ICT. We have established Solution Lab, a remote monitoring and operation support center, with three functions: operation support, problem-solving and research, and personnel training and skills transfer, to support the long-term stable operation of each facility.
We have a monitoring environment in place equivalent to that of a central control room that centrally manages the facility on-site. Utilizing the latest ICT, the operational status of each facility is shared in real time. Experienced operators are always available 24 hours a day to provide appropriate advice to operators at each facility in the event of accidents, disasters, and other unforeseen circumstances, thereby ensuring safe and reliable operation.
We will promote solutions to regional and social issues and needs, including the declining workforce, by developing and upgrading systems that utilize AI and ICT technologies to enable operation by a smaller number of people, as well as by utilizing data obtained in the Solution Lab.
In order to pass on operating skills to the operators of each facility and achieve stable operation, we conduct operation simulator training, acquire emergency response skills, and pass on a wide range of knowledge and skills.
We have collected plant operating and maintenance management data, which we use to provide real-time integrated management of plant and equipment operating status.
By analyzing and evaluating accumulated data and providing feedback to operational personnel, we are able to improve the quality of plant operation while lowering life cycle costs.
