Environmental Philosophy

Takuma is committed to preserving the environment and realizing an affluent society through business activities under the Company Motto: “Value Technology, Value People, Value the Earth.”

Environmental Policies

We have established the following Environmental Policies in order to realize our Environmental Philosophy.

We will work to reduce environmental impacts by effectively utilizing resources and reducing waste through the Harima Factory’s business activities.
In addition to observing environmental laws, regulations, ordinances, and agreements that apply to the factory, we will work to improve our environmental management system on an ongoing basis and to reduce environmental pollution by creating voluntary standards as necessary.
We will work to develop environmental analysis technologies, and we will provide valuable analytical services.
We will pursue initiatives in line with action plans. We will review action plans regularly and otherwise as needed.
We will work to spread awareness of these Environmental Policies among all employees, including partner companies operating on-site, and to ensure that suppliers understand and cooperate with them.
We will disclose these Environmental Policies to both internal and external stakeholders.

Action objectives

We have adopted the following action objectives in order to realize our Environmental Policies.

Use energy resources effectively.

Use natural resources effectively.

Guideline 2

Reduce emissions of water pollutants.

Reduce emissions of air pollutants.

Guideline 3

Provide valuable analytical services.

Strive to realize additional improvements in analytical precision.

These Environmental Policies, which have been created in accordance with TAKUMA Environmental Policy, apply to the Harima Factory’s business activities.

The Harima Factory conducts the following business activities.

Production of boilers as a flagship product

Analysis and measurement certification business

The Harima Factory has achieved ISO 14001 certification and registration following a screening by the Japan Quality Assurance Organization (JQA). (Certification was earned on January 8, 1999.) The scope of our analysis and measurement certification business activities includes affiliate Kankyo Sol-Tech Co., Ltd.
